The Regional Framework for Action on Transitioning to Integrated Financing of Priority Public Health Services in the Western Pacific provides guidance to Member States on actions to help secure essential public health functions that can ensure the sustainability and resilience of their health systems. Securing essential public health functions is relevant for countries facing reductions in external funding and those undergoing service delivery and budgeting reforms. Four recommended actions are: (1) confirm core program elements and service delivery arrangements; (2) strengthen institutions to manage finances more effectively and make better use of available resources; (3) increase domestic financing; and (4) govern the transition process.
