Communicating with Confidence on Vaccination: A three-part webinar series for health workers

This webinar series, hosted by the World Health Organization and Sabin’s Boost Community, starting Thursday, March 27 at 2:00 PM Central European Time (CET), aims to support health workers in becoming skilled champions of vaccination. Through interactive discussions and peer learning activities, participants will gain valuable tools and insights to share accurate information with compassion and credibility.

  • March 27 at 2:00 PM CET / 1:00 PM GMT (see local time): Meaningful Conversations to Address Vaccine Hesitancy

    In the current information environment, it’s normal for patients, parents, and caregivers to have questions about vaccines. How you listen and respond shapes their decision to get vaccinated, as well as their trust in health services.

    This session provides practical steps in engaging with those who are unsure of vaccinating and tailoring conversations toward vaccination acceptance. Learn how to turn everyday interactions into opportunities to build confidence in vaccination.

  • April 3 at 2:00 PM CEST / *12:00 PM GMT (see local time): Communicating on Vaccine Safety and Contraindications

    Health workers are trusted sources of vaccine information and play a key role in ensuring that patients understand the importance and safety of vaccines.

    This session will help explain vaccine benefits and safety, address concerns about contraindications, and dispel common misconceptions. You’ll enhance your skills in providing reassurance and empowering patients to make informed choices.

  • April 10 at 2:00 PM CEST / *12:00 PM GMT (see local time): Providing a Positive Experience of Vaccination

    The majority of people seek vaccination, knowing it is an important and safe step to take for themselves and their community.

    To provide a positive experience during vaccination, health workers play a vital role in responding to any questions and managing any pain that might arise. This can be done because it adds very little or no time or cost to the process.

    This session will share practical ways to help patients feel at ease before, during and after vaccination. Learn what to say and do to create a supportive and reassuring experience for all.
