Frequently Asked Questions about the Reoriented LNCT Network

The Learning Network for Countries in Transition (LNCT) is evolving to align with Gavi’s new strategic approach to engaging with middle-income countries, specifically those that have transitioned from Gavi support as well as select countries that have never received Gavi support. Now called the Linked Immunisation Action Network, the Network will support middle-income countries to identify practical solutions and best practices to mitigate and prevent decreases in immunisation coverage and drive sustainable introduction of key missing vaccines.

Have questions about what the reorientation of the network means for your country? Check out these frequently asked questions.

Are transitioning countries part of the reoriented network?

Yes, transitioning countries are still part of the network. They will have access to the website platform, to select learning engagements, and to the full suite of network resources and learnings.

Will transitioning countries be invited to participate in collaborative learning engagements?

Transitioning countries will be invited to attend select learning engagements. However, in line with Gavi’s MICs Approach priorities, the reoriented network is prioritizing countries that have transitioned from Gavi support for inclusion in smaller, more intensive collaborative learning engagements with their peers.

Will transitioning countries still have regular Country Core Group (CCG) calls with the Network Facilitation Team?

There will be no regular calls for transitioning countries with the Network Facilitation Team; however, members from transitioning countries can still reach out to the Network Facilitators if they are looking for support in learning from other countries on a specific topic. They can also use the discussion forum on the website. The Network Facilitators may reach out for occasional calls to understand immunisation programme challenges and how the network could support countries that will transition very soon.

What countries is the Linked Immunisation Action Network expanding to?

The Network will initially bring together the following middle-income countries that have transitioned from Gavi support for peer-to-peer learning engagements: Angola, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Bolivia, Cuba, Georgia, Guyana, Indonesia, Kiribati, Honduras, Moldova, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Timor-Leste, Ukraine, and Vietnam.
