February 11, 2020

The Teaching Vaccine Economics Everywhere (TVEE) project announces the launch of the first workshops of the series in Bangkok, Thailand.

The workshop series focuses on capacity building in applied vaccine economics, cost-effectiveness and finance. The workshop series will be held at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Mahidol University, and will cover topics in Vaccine Economics, Costing and Economic Evaluation of Vaccine programs. The content is developed by a team of seasoned health economists from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Mahidol University, WITS School of Public Health, IIHMR University, Aga Khan University, Makerere University, and University of Ouagadougou.

The workshop series aims to strengthen skills related to economics and financing of national immunization programs to improve the sustainability of vaccine delivery in low and middle-income countries. Thus, the program is designed for professionals and academics who are involved in planning and implementation of immunization programs and projects. The target participants for this program would, therefore, include government representatives (national, state-level, district-level) engaged with immunization, NiTAG members, GAVI program managers, other policy makers, and academics.
